Custom Rubber Stamps

We know there's a lot of different vendors out there that can make your very own custom stamp. But we always suggest and use Joseph Treu, Inc. They're located right in Manhattan and always do a quick turn around. Just like their long wooden handle rubber stamps, they're old school. They do not have a website and we email our PDFs to their AOL email - jostreu2@aol.com.

I just got my own stamp made through them...check it out!

Design Concepts

We just came across these posters on commarts.com- they are brilliant! The print-ads are part of the “You’re an Artist. Get Recognized.,” campaign for the 2009 AICP Show Call for Entries. The concept demonstrates what would have happened had some of the world's most recognizable art been subjected to the grueling review process that is typical in ad and other creative agencies. Periodic Table of Typefaces

I would have had a much easier time memorizing this Periodic Table than the one in Chem class...

Details: Branded sprinkles

While I have never loved Dunkin' Donuts' visual identity, their logo-colored sprinkles did make me smile! (the coffee is good too)

Design details: type

We recently ran across Lizania Cruz's site while doing some research for a new project. Her design for Anthropologie’s Spring 2009 press preview is amazing! Great use of type and such a refreshing aesthetic.

Photoshop friend or foe - part 2

As a follow-up to our recent photoshop post, we will share with you one of our favorite blogs that exposes the hazards of clumsy retouching: http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/. It makes for a very entertaining read.
